  • You know those roadies that go mountain biking and hold you up on the twisty technical bits but motor away on the wider tracks…………….well that’s Matt!
  • Matt actually started in mountain bike racing when he was a kid but unfortunately the South West (where he's originally from) scene started to struggle a bit and he split to the road.
  • Matt's role within the club entails being the main club contact for anyone who finds it through British Cycling (BC), BC licences get sent to him before going to members, BC affiliation, meeting minute taker and general admin and club dogsbody.

 

Membership Secretary

  • Ex semi-pro motorcycle racer & kick boxer, now Mountain Bike XC racer.
  • Owner of a motorcycle dealership but started as an oil rag many, many years ago.
  • Paul's role as membership secretary is to be the first point of contact for all membership queries & issues.

 

 

Treasurer

  • exBMX Racer, Skier & Snowboarder and British Cycling Level 2 Coach (trainee).
  • Jez was responsible for the club logos and jersey designs, as well as being the club treasurer.
  • Also, Jez has recently been assisting with coaching on the Olympic course so has experience of the course ready for when it is open for the club to use.
Welfare Officer

  • Qualified CTC MTB Trail LEader and Skills Instructor. DJ, Music Fanatic and Vinyl Junkie.
  • Luke's role is to ensure the safety and wellbeing of Children and vulnerable Adults involved with the club.

Media Secretary

  • Responsible for development of the internet face of the club, working with suppliers, partners and club friends and self appointed mediator of disagreements.

 

 

 

Go Ride Coordinator

A man who wants a VW camper but drives an Audi. More suited to Cornwall but ended up in Essex

Steve wants to learn to surf and bunny hop, ride the Alpe d'Huez and take the kids to Whistler

But for now he'll settle for seeing 30+ kids turning up at Hadleigh MTB each weekend in summer for coaching and the formation of a youth race team

Steve is responsible for organising coaching at Hadleigh MTB and is the point of contact for the British Cycling GoRide programme
